PVA Photo Archives
From Attics to Archives is our archive of pictures and images sourced from personal collections that represent the various aspects of life in this community from about 1870 to the present. Initially pulled together over several months, it came together with the assistance of many people who shared their personal albums, postcards, or photos. With the support of a digital librarian, each image has been scanned, tagged and added to a specific file format used for digital archiving.
Working with the Providence Public Library (PPL), the files have been uploaded into their online collections and can be downloaded in various formats for public use. All images have been signed off for copyright and are eligible for public use and repurpose.
